Lake Description
Domaine de Brocard is one of our most successful venues in France. No wonder the best pegs are already booked one year in advance. This former hunting domain, with a surface of 300 hectares, consists of 3 lakes surrounded by woodlands.
Brocard Small
On the first 20 acre (8 hectares) lake a maximum of 8 anglers can enjoy fishing from 4 pegs. They are situated on the south bank where anglers can fish without any possibility of snagging others lines. The gravel path provides good access to the pegs. The lake features over-hanging trees and reed-lined margins and on peg 1 there are some lily pads on the left side. Peg 1 is the only one-angler-peg of the venue. This first lake is stocked with 360 carp between 10 - 55 pounds. Maximum depth is 2 m.
In the 5 acre nurse-pond, fishing isn't allowed.
Brocard Large
The third lake - often referred to as Brocard Large - has a surface of 40 acres (16 hectares) and has a good access via a gravel path. Pegs 9 and 10 however can have a more difficult access by car when it rains. The bivvies stand on wooden pontoons. With an average of 1.5 m, this lake is fairly shallow. It has a clay bottom with a layer of silt and hardly any obstacles. Between pegs 6 and 7 lies a little island. Swim 12 is located in the shallow area and is great for early spring. Carp like to move to these shallow areas looking for warmer water. The rest of the season, swim 12 is too shallow and to warm to fish.
Just like the first lake, there are over-hanging trees, reed-lined margins and lily pads in several areas. There are neither freshwater mussels nor crayfish. Take into account that there might be some weed formation when the water gets warmer (towards the end of may, june...). Brocard Large is stocked with 500 carp between 10 and 50 pounds. There are catfish and poisson chat.
Facilities
On the site there is a new bloc with shower, washbasin and WC. There's electricity generated with solar energy for your batteries and mobile phones and there's hot water in the shower.
You are allowed to bring a small generator for your comfort.

Rules - Domaine de Brocard
Northern FrancePlease settle a 20€ waste collection fee per angler cash on arrival with the bailiff.
1. Unhooking mats and nets, slings must be shown to be dry on arrival (if wet we will dry them)
2. All shelters, bivvies must be green or camouflage
3. All anglers must pay a 50 euro refundable bond and ask to sign a contract to abide by all fishery rules. This is payed back on your departure.
4. Unhooking mats must be no smaller than 70cm x 90cm.
5. Each angler MUST have a large container filled with lake water ready to pre wet mats and slings to minimise stress. Fish must be kept wet while out of the water.

7. All anglers MUST have carp care antiseptic for treating hook wounds
8. Main line Mono only. Min mainline 15lbs. Max 20lbs
9. Leads must be able to brake away when needed. Leads must not drop off on every bite
10. Min hook size 6 Max 4. ALL hooks must be Barbless no flattening barbs.
11. Bait boats are permitted but you must be responsible in there use
12. Tigernuts are allowed.
13. Cars can be parked behind the swim.
14. There is to be no carp sacks on site not even to dry bait. If you are found to have one you will be asked to leave immediately
15. Dogs are allowed.
16. Tiger nuts are allowed
17. No lead core. Lead less leaders, safe zone leaders and tubing are all allowed. One of them must be used as we do not allow naked rigs. Banned rigs: 360 rigs, Ronnie rigs (spinner rigs).
18. Particles must be cooked until core is soft and must be shown to the bailiff. Pellets must be purchased on site.
19. Freezer bait or shelf life are allowed. No salt in bait.
20. NO MUTILATION OF FISH THIS IS STRICTLY FORBIDDEN
21. All fish over 50lbs must be reported to the bailiff
22. Please respect your casting area and all other anglers and staff
23. Boats are not allowed. Only baitboats allowed.
24. Drinking is aloud but if you are found to be drunk you will be asked to bring your rods in until we see you fit to fish
25. No dumping Bait before you leave.
26. The facilities are for every one's use so respect them and keep them clean after use .
27. Please keep noise down and respect your surroundings
28. Unhooking Mats must be ready at all times
29. No fires. Barbecues are allowed.
30. All anglers MUST enjoy their stay

Love Brocard , Frank is great , a nice clean venue in great surroundings with some great fish . Always catch when I come with some good results if you get it right
