Description
Overview
La Carrière is a top destination, situated in Normandy (Northern France) just an hour’s drive from Le Havre. The property consists of 5 lakes featuring grassy banks, overhanging trees, lily pads and some islands. It’s definitely a runs water and the positive feedback we get is enormous. No wonder people book their favorite peg one year in advance.
The Lake
The venue consists of 5 lakes with respective surfaces of 16 hectares, 12 hectares, 7 hectares, 8 hectares and 4 hectares. Grassy banks, overhanging trees, lily pads and some islands are the main features. The bottoms of the lakes are hard with gravel and sandy patches. The depth varies between 2 m and 2,5 m. There are no obstacles. Although we've never had weed formation at La Carrière, there was quite a lot of weed during the summer of 2008 and 2009. Bear in mind that there are fresh water mussels. There’s a secure perimeter fence, which will give you a safe feeling.
There is some crayfish (turkish sub species) that hardly cause any trouble. There is no poisson chat.
The Swims
Although there are 22 swims, the owner doesn’t want to have more than 25 anglers at the venue at any one time. This means that the fish will never be overstressed. The swims are large and have good access by car. All swims are doubles and swims 3, 5, 16, 22, 23 and 24 are big enough for 3 anglers. For safety reasons, swim one cannot be booked by one single angler.
The Stocking
Due to the good management of the venue, La Carrière has an ideal stock of healthy and big carp. You can catch fish both by day and by night. The stock consists of 1500 carp between 20 and 50 pounds; several 30’ers and 40’ers are caught every week.
Service and Facilities
The anglers have at their disposal a kitchen, a dining room, a shower and a toilet. These are cleaned on a daily basis.

Rules
- Boats & Bait Boats: not allowed
- MAX. 5KG BOILIES PER ANGLER
- Domestic animals: not allowed
- 3 rods per angler, barbless hooks, big unhooking mat, large weigh sling, green tent, no braided mainline, no carp sacks, no boats, no domestic animals. Waders are not allowed.

Rules - Carrière
Rules “La Carrière”
1. The angler should bring a valid booking confirmation.
2. It’s allowed to fish 24 hrs per day - catch and release
3. It’s not allowed to use boats and baitboats.
4. Swimming and wading is forbidden.
5. Allowed rigs: “carp friendly” rigs (safety bolt rigs), barbless hooks only (max. size 2) and nylon mainline.
The hooklink must be nylon and should allways be weaker than the main line. The lead shouldn’t be heavier than 80 grams.
6. Not Allowed: carp sacs, bent hooks, braided mainline and hooklink, particles. It’s only allowed to fish and bait with boilies, max. 5 kg per week per angler.
7. 3 rods per angler allowed. Bivvies and tents should be brown or green.
Each angler should have a big landingnet with a min. size of 90 cm and a big unhooking mat (min. 4 cm thick, 60 cm large and 90 cm long), a big weigh sling and Klinic to desinfect the hook wounds.
8. Fishing is only allowed on the booked swims.
9. Please return the fish carefully to the water
10. Marking or steeling fish will be reported immediately to the local Police (Gendarmerie).
11. Caravans and Campers are not allowed because the site is not a Camping. Excessive use of alcohol is nottolerated.
12. Please respect the nature and the tranquillity of the site. Keep clean the sanitary building and the swims. Please separate waste in the designated containers.
13. Dogs are not allowed. Open fire is nog allowed. The use of gas cookers and barbecues is allowed.
14. The owner can keep the refundable payment if you don’t respect the regulations
15. Arrival before 12.00 h. Departure before 11.00 h.
16. The owner and the bailiff can check the hooklinks at any time.
17. The owner is not responsible for theft, fire, injury or what so ever.
18. Each angler should sign the regulations declaring that he/she accepts them.
