Located next to the Natural Reserve Forêt d'Orient, Maurepaire is a well know 15 hectares - which equals 37 acres - carp fishing venue. The surroundings are typical from the Champagne region with soft rolling countryside, gently sloped farmland and some woods. 7 double swims are nestled between the reeds on the south east bank. It's a fairly shallow venue, just like many others in the area the soft silky bottom has hardly any obstacles. Maurepaire is stocked with around 300 mirrors & common carp. A lot of 40's, 50's & 60's come from La Horre.
All the swims are located on one side of the lake. The swims are wooden pontoons. Behind the swim you can put your bivvy on the grassy bank.
The swims have car access, except for swim 7. After unloading the cars, you have to park the car on the car park.
IMPORTANT: there's a draw on arrival for the swims. You can't book a certain swim before you get there. We believe every swim will catch good because the fish stock is relatively high.
The facilities are located in the farm at the entrance of the venue. There's a shower, WC and wash basins.
