Fisherman Holidays presents a brilliant new venue situated south of Paris (a 3 hour drive from Calais). When we discovered this 37 acre (15 hectares) carp fishing lake, we were immediately impressed how well maintained it is by Kevin, Pierre, Alex. Carpanium features reed lined margins, overhanging trees and very nice swims. The 14 large swims are well spaced out around the venue and offer plenty of water for a maximum of 17 anglers. Stocked with 650 healthy and strong carp, the lake record is 27,5kg.
Carpanium is proud of they fast growing fish stock. There have approximately 650 carp in the lake. This continues to grow as additional stock is handpicked by Kevin, Pierre, Alex and their Bailiff James and added every autumn. Actually, they are already preparing the new restocking from this coming winter!
The average weight sits at mid twenties with the lake record mirror 61lb (27,50kg). You'll see some lovely linears, fully scaled mirrors and kois.
Apart from carp, there's also a small population of grass carp and some sturgeon. Other species are pike, roach, tench and perch. No bream, catfish or poisson chat.
Carpanium is know for how well the lake is maintained and the swims couldn't be less. There are 14 large swims, well spaced out around the venue, that offer plenty of water for a maximum of 17 anglers. The swims are very well kept and the car can be parked on the grassy area behind the swim. Most swims have been dug out and are graveled.
